CAHS Merit Scholars Make Headlines

CAHS is proud to see several of our students being honored for their impressive academic achievements.  Per the article in The Booster, “Four CAHS students recently were named National Merit Scholarship semifinalists, while another four received commended scholars honors for their noteworthy scores on the preliminary SAT.”  Please read the rest of the article as a PDF here or online here.

Online Grades Arrive

Very soon CAHS parents will be receiving their login information for the Parent Assist Module.  This means you will have the information you need to be able to login and check grades and attendance for your student(s) online, and see any grades as soon as they are added into the gradebook.  Parents attending Open House should receive the information there, others will get the information with their student’s interim grades.

Parent Assist Module Training

We at CAHS are excited to inform parents that student information is now accessible online.  Parents must attend a training session, currently Thursday evenings 6-8PM, to get their ID and training on how to use the new tool.  This finishes the transition at CAHS to an online grade and attendance program started 2 years ago, intended to allow increased communication and information transfer between teachers and parents.  We hope you can make it to a training day and make . . . → Read More: Parent Assist Module Training

Summer Reading and School’s Beginning

This is just a reminder to all of our students attending CAHS next year to make sure you have received, and are actively working on your summer assignments.  Teachers report August 25th and students report the 27th, so time is passing quickly.  Summer assignments generally account for a large portion of the first quaters grade, so make sure to start off the 2008-2009 school year with a strong performance.

Columbus Alternative High School has been widely recognized for excellence through dedication, diverse student opportunities, and outstanding results.  

We are proud to have been honored as a breakthrough school in the nation during the 2007-2008 school year.

A New Principal

Hello everyone!

The summer is normally a relatively quiet period for school news, but this is certainly noteworthy.
