Summer Reading and School's Beginning |
This is just a reminder to all of our students attending CAHS next year to make sure you have received, and are actively working on your summer assignments. Teachers report August 25th and students report the 27th, so time is passing quickly. Summer assignments generally account for a large portion of the first quaters grade, so make sure to start off the 2008-2009 school year with a strong performance.

Columbus Alternative High School has been widely recognized for excellence through dedication, diverse student opportunities, and outstanding results.
We are proud to have been honored as a breakthrough school in the nation during the 2007-2008 school year.
We were also published in the June 2008 Issue of Principal Leadership. The article details how the mission of CAHS has allowed us to earn a MetLife Foundation– NASSP Breakthrough School. Hello everyone!
The summer is normally a relatively quiet period for school news, but this is certainly noteworthy.
The CAHS community can officially welcome a new face and new leadership. Dr. Talisa Dixon will be at the helm as our principal for the upcoming school year. She comes to us from Brookhaven High School, and will bring fresh insight and experience to our unique school. Look forward to welcoming and working with her as we continue our mission of academic rigor and success. |
